English studies in canada (ESC), founded in 1975 and based at Western University (University of Western Ontario), is the official journal of the Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English and Canada’s leading generalist journal in English studies. It publishes peer‑reviewed scholarship across English‑language literature, language, culture, and theory, covering both established and emerging areas of the discipline. The journal features original research articles, review essays, book reviews, and occasional special issues, with a mission to “reflect the discipline back to itself” and foster global scholarly dialogue.
